Introducing Jack and Pearl

Yesterday, our good friends decided to expand their family.

Meet Jack (in the back) and Pearl, two adorable 3-month-old Dalmasetts. Bassematians. We're still trying to figure out a catchy "hybrid" name for a Bassett/Dalmatian/unknown mix.

We are living vicariously through them for a while, since we're not really home enough to take care of dogs, and we have no real yard. Aren't they the cutest???

Jack has an old-man face, and he's a little shy. Petite Pearl has downy-soft white fur, and she's a firecracker. Congratulations, Connors!

Soooo cute!
I would call them Dalmation Hounds. Not catchy, but it makes me smile for some reason.

I can totally appreciate the vicarious comment! Several of my friends have Boxers, and I am helping them start a new Boxer rescue organization here in Atlanta. But since my own schedule is so crazy, it doesn't lend itself well to properly taking care of a pup. So I live vicariously through my friends' Boxers.

Eric, that's better than living vicariously IN your friends' boxers!

Hahahahaha.

I have shortened Dalmation Hound into Dalmound.

And, I keep thinking of Bloom County's Basselope.

That is all.

Amy made me snort my beer!

Also, if those pups go missing after my visit this October...? Don't look at me. I'm sure Jacquie is to blame.
